Bottle Bum Army, 2006, Oil on Found Bottles Installation

Sean Boyles' work is a reflection of what influences him. It’Äôs two-parts Goya, one part comics, three parts animation, two parts graffiti, half a part Hopper, two parts Ralph Steadman, with a dash of Pollock, topped with Carlin/Public Enemy sauce, served with a side of A. Wyeth.

His style is bumpy and klunky, an art beast that attacks with drips, slashes, puddles, lines, and splashes. Soft like stretched out kneaded erasers and hard like gigantic jawbreakers, Fluffy like down pillows and juicy like melted otter pops, Deeper than the deep end and flatter than super flat.
